IMQ & CSA

In North America many certification requirements are embedded in by-laws and must be followed in order to sell your products to consumers.

In North America, all electrical and gas appliances (including components) for residential and commercial applications are regulated and require 3rd party approval.

For these products, 3rd party approval is required in the form of an accredited certification agency, like CSA International, testing and certifying that the product meets applicable national standards. The product must then receive a certification mark, like the cCSAus, CSA Flame or CSA Star marks for distribution in the North American market.
